Hotels in Puerto Morelos
Have you heard of Puerto Morelos? Well, if you have not, Puerto Morelos is a little town in the Riviera Maya in Mexico, located in between two well known turistic destinations, you guessed already? Puerto Morelos is located in between Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
Why the hell would you go to Puerto Morelos? Well that depends… if you are only in the party go out late every single day at different nightclubs not even remembering where you went mood… Puerto Morelos is probably not your place…
Now… for real, why would you go to Puerto Morelos? This is a little Fisherman town older than Cancun and Playa del Carmen with its own history dating back to the beginning of the century when wood and other materials used to be exported (from the town to other places in Mexico). Later on the people in town made their lifes fishing in this reach sea life population and they lived quite stressless… until nowadays, they keep their every day tasks very relaxed.
Puerto Morelos is still a Fisherman town, fishing is still an activity that helps the place for local seafood restaurants. However the main activity now is Tourism and with that Hotels have arrived to Port (not that there were no Hotels in Puerto Morelos before, now we have the huge ones too).
Which Hotel in Puerto Morelos to choose? That totally depends on what you want to do…
In Puerto Morelos you’ll find different kind of Hotels, the little ones in downtown at really affordable prices, and really clean with good service, nice little cabanas a couple o minutes out of downtown Puerto Morelos or big 5 star All Inclusive Hotels. Let us explain a little bit:
Hotels in Downtown Puerto Morelos: these are perfect if you wish to not spend a lot of money and be close to local attractions, bars and restaurants in the center of Puerto Morelos, also you’ll be able to find local tours and services and you’ll see the beauty of downtown movement (not a lot of it).
Cabanas in Puerto Morelos: you can find cabanas in Puerto Morelos outside of downtown where you’ll be able to relax and do nothing if you wish so, the cabanas have a rustic local style but with all the services you may need during your stay. Being out of town makes them really good to relax, so if you need some tranquility this is your option. The Cabanas usually have bike rentals for cheap so you can go to downtown Puerto Morelos with no hassle or you can always walk along the beach.
All Inclsusive Hotels in Puerto Morelos: These are by far more luxurious, complete on its services, 5 star and more. The beauty of this Resorts is to arrive and do nothing but chill at the pool bar or at the beach having someone serving you the whole time which is just amazing. All Inclusive Resorts in Puerto Morelos are high quality 5 star Hotels and will provide services as restaurants (more than a couple) lots of pools, some with its swim up bar, and some more relaxing and hidden for you and your significant other, you’ll find activities at some pools like volleyball, ping pong, pool, bars all around the Hotel and in some or most of them you’ll see shows at night and most of them will have its Mexican Fiesta for one of the days of the week.
The thing with the All inclusive Resorts is that most of these guests don’t go to downtown Puerto Morelos and miss the whole concept of it, seeing the natural places, the local people and the center park with its Caribbean style. Don’t get me wrong, you can relax as you wish but going to some other place rather than your house is also for discovering new things 
.
Now, is totally up to you to choose which Resort or Hotel or Cabana to stay at when you visit Puerto Morelos, but my big recommendation is to go out visit downtown!
