During those 5 years Cantina Habanero has become an icon of Puerto Morelos with thousands of visitors annually from all over the world. A winner of the 2011 Trip Advisor Excellence Awards for restaurants, her menu includes a delightful mix of cultures, served by the friendliest staff in the area.
Live music has always been a cornerstone of Cantina Habanero which features regular performances by the renown Mexican rock band Vertigo 777 and the award winning Mark Mulligan, whose song, “Bar Down in Mexico recently voted number 17 in all time Best Trop-Rock Songs, along with a myriad of other artists representing a total genre of music from blues, to traditional Mexican music. Throw in the occasional dance troupes of highland dancers and Mexican dancers and the performing arts aspect of Cantina Habanero is unrivaled in Puerto Morelos.
